Description
This Hot Honey Smash Burger Taco recipe combines juicy, seasoned smashed burgers with all the taco essentials for a fun and quick dinner option.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup pickles, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 2 tablespoons hot honey (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
- On medium-high heat, warm a cast-iron skillet or frying pan until very hot.
- Form the beef into balls (about 2 ounces each). Place the balls on the hot skillet and smash down with a spatula to form thin patties. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheese to melt.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and hot honey until smooth.
- On each tortilla, add a layer of shredded lettuce, followed by a cheesy smashed burger, pickles, and a drizzle of burger sauce. Finish with a touch more hot honey if desired.
