Description
These salted brownie cookies are the perfect combination of brownie richness and cookie convenience. They’re fudgy, delicious, and topped with a hint of sea salt!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar, mixing well until combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips for extra chocolatey goodness.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the tops with flaky sea salt for that perfect finishing touch.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, let the butter cool slightly before mixing with the other ingredients, and do not overbake the cookies.
